Richard Hinton, MD – NCD Founder

Emeritus

Dr. Richard Hinton, one of the founding partners of Neurology Consultants of Dallas, has been in practice since 1978.

He was a pioneer in the DFW area, setting up the stroke program within Texas Presbyterian Dallas and leading the Dallas Area Stroke Council. Over the years, he served on various boards and committees advocating for more education and resources for stroke patients. He also served as Chief of Neurology at Presbyterian Dallas Hospital.

As of now, Dr. Hinton is retired and no longer seeing patients at Neurology Consultants Of Dallas. He holds the esteemed title of Emeritus. Periodically, Dr. Hinton’s expertise is called upon by his fellow colleagues and friends, allowing him to continue his legacy of helping people and providing wisdom and compassionate care.

Dr. Hinton has embraced the new joys of retirement and can be found watching sports, playing the piano, and participating in activities with his church. Dr. Hinton and his wife also cherish their love for traveling and cheering on their daughter, who performs in musical theater, and son-in-law.
