Dr. Chan chose neurology because she enjoys the elegance and complexity of the nervous system. She developed a sub-specialty interest in epilepsy as she is fascinated by the physiology of seizures, the diverse clinical presentation, and the treatment options. She finds it very rewarding to work with patients with epilepsy, aiming to improve their quality of life through compassionate and effective medical care.
Dr. Chan has a special interest in working with women with epilepsy as they are faced with a unique set of concerns such as contraceptive choices, pregnancy-related concerns, catamenial epilepsy.
Growing up in Hong Kong, Dr. Chan was exposed to a diverse culture and all kinds of delicious cuisines. She loves to experiment with cooking and trying new restaurants. In her spare time she also enjoys weight-lifting, dancing, and yoga.
